Pond Design
We build every pond with safety as a major consideration. Most are built to code so no fence is required. In most circumstances, our ponds are 2 feet in depth, which is deep enough to allow fish to survive the cold winter months and not require safety or code fencing. Caves or pockets are constructed in the pond to allow fish to escape predators like raccoons and herons. When you add aquatic plants you are not only enhancing the beauty, but you are including an important element in your newly built ecosystem. Since the water in your pond and water garden is in constant motion 24/ 7, there is no stagnation and therefore the threat of mosquitoes can be put to rest.
Hidden pumps, skimmers and filters enhance the natural setting for a water garden. Beneficial bacteria are used to control algae and organic sediments and activated charcoal to clear discolored water. We use Mother Nature and not chemicals in our pond ecosystems and water features.
The most efficient pond and waterfall can look amateurish if not designed and installed aesthetically. Stream Design
Designers integrate multi-sized waterfalls that can flow at various speeds from a soft trickling to a powerful gushing falls. Streams are easily created by simply changing grades and using moss rock boulders trucked in from New Jersey and weighing as much as 3 tons. Our pond building crews have years of experience and a gift for understanding the movement of water over rocks and we strive to make every pond and water garden construction unique.
