2007 NESPA Awards
The Deck and Patio Company was the big winner at the 2007 NESPA design awards. NESPA (Northeast Spa and Pool Association) held their annual design awards at the Hamilton Park Hotel in Florham Park, NJ on Saturday, October 20, 2007. Representatives from the top Pool and Spa companies in the Northeast came to honor their own in what turned out to be a banner year for the Deck and Patio Company.
The Gold award for Outstanding Achievement was won by Deck and Patio, along with the Bronze award for Outstanding Achievement, the coveted Special Judges Award and 12 other awards in virtually every category. NESPA also recognized Deck and Patio for technical merit, natural pond design and portable spa installation. “This is a tremendous honor” said Bill Renter, owner of The Deck and Patio Company, “our mission is to push the envelope and create beautiful, luxurious outdoor spaces that work in harmony with nature, while being on the cutting edge of technology. To be recognized as the best in the Northeast is a testament to our dedicated staff and build team. We truly appreciate the recognition and will strive to continue on the path of excellence.” Along with taking all the major awards in the region, The Deck and Patio company was also recognized by our peers here on Long Island.
The LISPA awards were held at the Atlantis Marine World in Riverhead in December. The LISPA awards are voted on by all the major pool builders and designers in Nassau and Suffolk, including the best builders in the Hamptons and the North Fork. The Deck and Patio Company was honored to win an award in virtually every category including a Gold award in the Pond Division. There was a lot of local and regional recognition, but The Deck and Patio’s proudest moment of 2007 came at the APSP awards in Orlando Florida where they competed against pool designers and builders from all over the United States and Internationally. The Deck and Patio Company came away with the Gold Award and Bronze Award in the Residential Vinyl Pool category. The Deck and Patio Company focuses the majority of their designs around water features, pools and spas and these awards are validation of the enormous effort that goes into creating and executing outstanding custom water designs.
New Design Center Opens
Deck and Patio has completed their new design center. This allows clients to come and view the outdoor living landscape / design proposals prepared especially for them. The center has three presentation rooms to allow clients privacy when viewing the plans for their outdoor improvements. Each room is equipped with computer access and the main room has a large flat screen panel for viewing. A comfortable reception area with TV viewing for children accompanying their parents has been provided.
The Deck and Patio Design Center has been constructed with an outdoor mini deck to show all the decking materials available. The full spectrum of colors, textures, and styles can be seen. More importantly, how decking materials look after weathering the Long Island summers and winters is visible. Deck and Patio is interested in being forthright with clients and showing what real decks look like after installation.
Additionally, an outdoor display of paving stones has been installed to provide clients with an ability to view options available to them. Over 70 varieties of blocks of differing size, texture, color, and shape are on display in an INSTALLED configuration so clients can be assured of what they will receive.
