AWARDS - 2005
2005 was groundbreaking news for The Deck and Patio Company, and I don’t mean digging a hole! This was the year that for the first time ever in a swimming pool award competition a freeform vinyl pool and spa won Best in Competition, beating over 200 entries including Gunite pools! The pool featured 5 waterfalls, a swim up bar with 4 barstools, a raised vinyl spa with 2 waterfalls, outdoor kitchen, landscaping, embedded umbrellas, and 4 different patio levels around the pool. This pool also won 4 additional Gold awards including Outstanding Achievement, Special Judges award, International Award of Excellence Gold and Gold for freeform vinyl pools. This pool was also the cover story in Pool and Spa Living August 2008.
In addition to these pool honors we also won the first ever “Chairman’s Award” International award of Excellence for residential water features and ponds (see the second gallery) This pond was a 18’ X 36’ Koi pond with 1 large waterfall, two 25’ streams, bog filtration, two skimmers and two variable speed pumps that pump 20,000 gallons of water per hour.
